Privacy

Our policy is to respect and protect the privacy of anyone who visits the Youth Space website. Any personal information you send to us (name, address, email, mobile phone number etc.) will be kept in strict accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

  • We will not sell, trade or rent your information to other third parties
  • We will not collect any personal information without your knowledge
  • Your information will only be collected for a known purpose that you understand and will not be used in future for any reason other than the one for which it was collected (unless obliged to do so by law)
  • We will only collect information from you if it relates to an online query you have, or will help you access our services online

Email or text/SMS messages

  • The council will only send emails or text messages when you have explicitly given us permission to do so, either as part of the online registration process or in writing
  • We will only send you messages for a known purpose that you understand and will not be used in the future for any reason other than the one for which it was collected (unless obliged to do so by law)
  • We will not pass your details to any third parties without your prior consent
  • All messages will be clearly marked as coming from the council, and will contain information about how to change your details, or unsubscribe from this service

Email monitoring policy

The use of Haringey Council's email system may be monitored and emails read to make sure the system is operating properly, to block spam, viruses or illegal/harmful content, and for other lawful purposes.

Use of cookies

A cookie is a text-only string of information that a website transfers to the cookie file of the browser on your computer's hard disk so that the website can remember who you are.

A cookie normally contains the name of the domain from which the cookie has come, the "lifetime" of the cookie, and a value (usually a randomly generated unique number).

When you visit our website we might need to send you a cookie. Cookies may be used in the following ways:

  • To help us recognise you, so you do not have to re-key your registration details.
