2020 Summer Programme

About the programme | Timetable | Register | Our policies | Contact us

Bruce Grove Youth Space summer programme is on, offering a range of activities for children and young people of all ages in July and August. Some activities are taking place online and others socially distanced, to keep everybody as safe as possible due to the coronavirus situation. Please note places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and we have limited spaces!

Registration is now open, we will be booking online this year. As a result of COVID-19, the positive activities will be delivered in smaller group sizes to ensure social distancing. All young people will be encouraged to practice good hand hygiene whilst participating. Young people will be asked to inform us if they are showing any COVID-19 symptoms before joining in the course.

The team at Bruce Grove Youth Space (BGYS) are looking forward to welcoming you this summer.

About the activities

Each year BGYS run a summer programme that will offer Haringey young people a selection of fun, positive activities to engage young people’s interests, which is accessible to all young people aged 10 – 19, up to 25 years of age with SEN.

We offer a range of sports to encourage healthy lifestyles, specific activities targeting girls, new experiences, a focus on developing life skills and promoting inclusion of young people with SEND,

We will offer young people new challenges, new experiences that will stretch their knowledge, skills and attitudes to enable them to reflect upon themselves as individuals in order that they fulfil their potential to contribute as positive members of the community.

The aims are to support the physical and emotional wellbeing of young people and divert them from offending behaviour by partaking in positive activities that they would not normally have access to.

Our aims are to:

  • ·Promote emotional wellbeing
  • ·Promote community spirit
  • ·Empower young people
  • ·Social engagement
  • Young people being in a safe space
