Podcast

“Podcast” is a word to describe a very simple concept: an audio or video file available on the Internet for you to listen to and/or watch.

You can subscribe to podcasts using podcast software, including iTunes and then either listen to them on a computer or download them to any portable device such as an iPod.

Why we web/podcast these meetings

Not everyone can get to a meeting they are interested in. Webcasting allows you to watch the meeting 'live' over the Internet. Podcasting and Webcasting allows you to watch a meeting after it has taken place. Webcasting and Podcasting means that you can keep in touch with local democracy in Haringey even if you can't get to the Civic Centre.

Viewing a pod/webcast

Both PC and Mac users can view Haringey podcasts and webcasts. All you need to have is either Windows Media Player or RealPlayer installed on your computer. These are leading programs for playing video and audio on the Internet.
