Counselling Service
Haringey Young People's Counselling Service (HYPCS)
Who are we?
We are a team of professional and qualified counsellors working with young people living in Haringey.
Our service provides confidential one to one therapy to people who may be ‘at risk’, vulnerable and in need, including:
- looked after children
- young offenders
- young parents
- care leavers
- young carers.
We offer you the space to explore your 'difficulties' such as:
- relationship difficulties
- loss/separation
- domestic violence
- offending behaviour
- abuse/violence
- mental/emotional distress
- sub stance misuse
- school/social exclusion
We hope to increase self esteem and confidence. As well as helping you make sense of your situation and make your own decisions.
This includes helping you express yourself, which is the first step to dealing with your thoughts and feelings.
We also offer a personal development group which work on a range of topics such as:
- dealing with anger
- assertiveness training
- communication skills
- bullying
- relationships
- and much more.
The aim is to equip you with essential life skills and enhance your emotional well being.
