We have developed the Strategy in consultation with young people and key partners and we want to continue to these key relationships as the Strategy is rolled out across the borough.

Careers: Shine Young Producers Programme - apply now!

The makers of Spooks, T4, Masterchef, One Born Every Minute and Got to Dance are looking for the young writers, directors, film-makers, presenters and producers of tomorrow to be paid apprentices in a new production unit making their own shows and professional content.

A team of eight 18-24 year olds, non-graduates with a passion and demonstrable talent for creating innovative video content will be recruited initially, with applications encouraged from candidates from diverse or less advantaged backgrounds.

Recruits will be nurtured across a year to become a professional production unit through a tailored training programme, alongside a structured mentoring programme involving staff from across the Shine Group companies.

After twelve months, each will either have the opportunity to stay and continue to work on projects, apply for roles on productions within Shine Group or leave having gained industry recognised accreditations and a year’s experience.

WANTED: Opinionated Young People

The HIT Team (Haringey Investigation Team) are a group of young people who work undercover as secret mystery shoppers to see how well our projects are doing.

You will be trained to be a HIT agent and visit Youth Provision that is being delivered by the new Youth, Community and Participation Service and the Voluntary Sector. As an HIT inspector you will report back on what you feel was a “hit” and what was a “miss” to Youth Practitioners, Team Leaders, Head of Service and Haringey Councillors.
